Rolltop Music releases “We Gotta Get There” (The Baseball Song) By Tim Coffman

San Diego CA – Originally written and recorded in 1983 by San Diego music producer Tim Coffman, “We Gotta Get There” enjoyed a good run of local success. It was played at Jack Murphy Stadium before Padres home games and loved and embraced by many baseball fans across the country. But because it was only released on cassette, it has languished in obscurity during the last few years, however several months ago the original multi-track recording was discovered and transferred to a digital format. “When I listened to the new digital tracks for the first time” said Tim Coffman, “I realized that this song still had its charm and needed to be shared with a new generation."

And so, just in time to coincide with the start of the Major League Baseball season and the Padres first home game, Rolltop Music is releasing a Re-mix of this favorite baseball song.

“We Gotta Get There” is a vivid description of the excitement of going to a baseball game with all of the sound effects and imagination that can possibly fit into a three-minute song. In one simple word this song is all about “Fun”. Dave Heafner joins Tim on vocals.
